Another huge triumph for the junior section - and this time its the under 17s who comfortably beat Hadfield to lift the Compstall Cup.
I am sure that you will agree the team looked resplendent in shirts and ties, and they did the club proud. To top it off we have been contacted by league officials who complimented our boys on their smart attire and their conduct on the day.

The League Dinner will take place on Friday 7th November at Edgeley Park. The speaker will be New Zealand Test Cricketer Jeremy Coney, and the comedian will be Brendan Healey, "better" known for being the keyboard player from Lindisfarne (the band). After poor food and poor entertainment last year, in the words of D:ream "Things Can Only Get Better". Whats that I hear you say? Let MMM and TR Wild do the speech? Well I can't see that happening any time soon, but all is not lost. A bit like the Channel 4 alternative to the Queen's Speech, the Whaley Bridge version of the league dinner speech will appear on these very pages!
