The Six A Side went ahead as planned and seems to have raised over £1,000 - more news to follow. The White Hart triumphed over the Drum & Monkey in the final, but who is Mystery Dave?

Huge congratulations to the Under 17s after a stunning victory against Broadbottom last night. They now meet Hadfield in the final on 31st August at Mottram.

WBCC World Cup Final Extravaganza
The WBCC World Cup extravaganza was the culmination of a very successful day. I can certainly recommend the Chorizo from our sponsor Tomson, the paella was completely sold out by half time. We raised in the region of £300, on top of another £300+ from the under 13s finals day. The next Big Pan event well arrive in early August.
***********************************************************************************************************
The Under 13s put in a gallant effort but ultimately lost in the semi final to a strong Charlesworth side. The under 11s triumphed in a three team festival involving Birch Vale at Buxworth (unfortunately Chapel could not make it). Meanwhile, the under 17s have a cup match tomorrow and the under 15s are waiting to see of their latest victory at Birch Vale has squeezed them into finals day. All in all a marvellous effort from our junior section.

Congratulations to the Under 17s who have now reached the Compstall Cup semi final that will take place on 17th July at Broadbottom.

The Six A Side has been rearranged for Sunday 20th July. This gives us two chances to get rained off before August Bank Holiday.
************************************************************************************************
The League Dinner will take place on Friday 7th November at Edgeley Park. The speaker will be New Zealand Test Cricketer Jeremy Coney, and the comedian will be Brendan Healey, "better" known for being the leyboard player from Lindisfarne (the band). After poor food and poor entertainment last year, in the words of D:ream "Things Can Only Get Better". Whats that I hear you say? Let MMM and TR Wild do the speech? Well I can't see that happening any time soon, but all is not lost. A bit like the Channel 4 alternative to the Queen's Speech, the Whaley Bridge version of the league dinner speech will appear on these very pages!
