Mystery Man Part Two...

Of course, the answer to Mystery Man Part One was Callum McIlveen, and he can thank his younger brother Will for grassing him up.

And so on to Mystery Man Part Two. The First XI took to the field against Old Glossop with just ten men. Who was missing?

Speaking of the firsts, what a remarkable start it has been. Tipped for relegation, they now sit joint top after two magnificent wins. Not such a good story for the seconds after 1 win and 1 defeat, but there's a long way to go.

Gibbo makes his long awaited return to action this weekend, in the cup match at Charlesworth. He doesn't appear to be back to his fighting weight just yet - but let's reserve judgement until after the game.

Anyway, the Under 17s put on a good show at Chapel last night, beating the hosts by an impressive 76 runs, There will be harder games to come, but we are heading in the right direction.

Shop news - and the healthy option is now Fruit Shoots after these were reduced to half price in Tesco! Still open to requests if you get any cravings.

It's cup weekend, remarkably early this year, and we have just about scraped two sides together. Last year we didn't have to bother when High Lane pulled out, and I know there is at least one club that thinks the Hawke Trophy should be optional. Not so Chapel, they have a bye week, and will therefore be raring to go for Sunday's cup fixture.
