Trip Fever!

The annual Whaley Bridge Cricket Club Trip takes place this week, though as is tradition I am unable to reveal the venue. Its been a mixed weekend, with the firsts getting hammered by 8 wickets against Buxworth, whilst the seconds pulled off a remarkable victory against the same opposition. Highlights were too numerous to mention, you will have to read the match report for that, but Harry Bold showed that he has a tremendous future as he bowled his first senior overs of the season and took 2 for 8.

There has been some consternation about practising on the square. Not the practice itself, but please ensure that the wicket is tidied up afterwards. And a bit of rolling wouldnt go amiss either.

Cup fever today as the firsts host Tintwistle with a place in the semi final at stake. In the other half of the draw (seriously!) Hayfield play Old Glossop, so we could still be on course for a Dale and Eddie v Shane and Neil final.
